Lawrence A. (Rusty) Overby, PhD, CMCT

Dr. Overby has studied the science of psychology since 1979.  After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree at Vanderbilt University, he went on to earn his Ph.D. in psychology from Arizona State University in 1989. Dr. Overby has held administrative, teaching and consulting positions, has presented his work at national professional conventions, and has published several articles in the areas of psychological research and theory.  

 

Dr. Overby began the specialized study of relationship-building, influence and persuasion in 1987, and subsequently earned his designation as a Cialdini Method Certified Trainer (CMCT). He has presented training programs on these topics in North and South America, Europe and Asia to clients from a variety of industries: Professional Services (KPMG), Technology (Motorola), Home Builders (Shea Homes), Pharmaceuticals (The Medicines Company), and Communications (Landmark Communications: The Weather Channel).
